We offer a full-range of services to our clients from milling lumber to complete installation.
We mill logs into lumber as well as existing lumber into alternate sizes or specifications. Our portable sawmill can mill wood up to 32 inches in diameter and 21 feet long. Additional charges may occur if foreign objects are present in the wood such as nails, bolts, rocks etc. or if there is an excessive amount of blades used due to the nature/species of the wood.
We offer Chainsaw Milling for logs larger than the maximum dimensions indicated on our portable band saw mill or as we see fit for the product that is needed.
Custom T&G Flooring, Molding, V-Groove Paneling, Shiplap and more.
Planing and edging.
Each custom project is priced individually.
Grassroots Wood Company is an environmentally conscious company offering a full range of services including On-Site Milling, Chainsaw Milling, Specialty Millworks and Custom Design Services. We are located on the Eastern Shore in Baldwin County, Alabama. We serve our local community, including Daphne, Alabama, Fairhope, Alabama, Spanish Fort, Alabama, Mobile, Alabama, Gulf Shores, Alabama, Orange Beach, Alabama and everywhere in between.

We create custom furniture made from local wood and can even mill logs on your site to create any custom furniture. We offer furniture designs, including but not limited to, Farm Tables, Live Edge Tables and Desks, Coffee Tables, Benches, Custom Bed Frames and Headboards, Console Tables, Work Stations, Custom Desks, Nightstands, Fireplace Mantles and much, much more!

Our Mobile Mill allows us to come to you and cut your logs into lumber that can be used for building whatever you would like, whether that be for furniture or framed out additions.
